I always look so forward to General Conference. It is like the feeling I used to get going to Education Week a long time ago when my kids were small. It was R&R - not must rest, but the refreshing of spirit was never lost on me....I came home ready to hit the road running!
My Home Teacher challenged me to write down a question that I have, something that has been troubling me in my life or something that I have been praying about and have not received an answer to~~
He said, "I can almost guarantee that one of the addresses in General Conference will answer that question."
I think we all should try it~~!........he could be right.

The Luck of the Irish
We celebrated a St. Patrick's 15th wedding anniversary for Cory & Jen this past weekend. Saturday night all the adults got to go to The Mandarin for delicious chinese food and have a wonderful time toasting the Horton couple!!! ( thanks Brooke, Brit & Kobe for watching little Pearl & Violet)
Some great pictures of everyone and the red velvet cake to top off our mandarin cuisine.....I'm sure will come from Stacey picture-taking!! (smile)
Happy Anniversary Jen & Cor~~~ You've come so far, have a beautiful family and I'm so proud of the goals you've made in your lives!!!!!!!!

Book Review
I just finished reading Larry H. Miller's autobiographical book "Driven".
It was quite an interesting commentary on sports, entrepreneurial expertise, his reactivation into the Church, family, fatherhood, money, cars, Jazz, etc.......one of my favorite quotes in it was!!!.........(sorry, I don't know to whom to give credit but it is a good one~~)
"When obedience ceases to be an irritant and becomes our quest, in that moment God will endow us with power"
